Highly Upgraded Home in Star

Highly Upgraded Home in Star

Better than new! This home is 2,530 square feet and features 4 bedrooms, 2.5 bathrooms, and a 3 car garage. (MLS#98874226)

Penny Lake home

As you enter through the custom front door, you are greeted with upgraded “wood-look” tile in the walkways and kitchen. The main floor features a gathering space in addition to the living room, dedicated office, and half bath. The family room is large at 15′ x 18′, and has custom shelving. In the kitchen, you’ll find beautiful full tile backsplash, stainless steel appliances, a large island, soft close cabinets, leathered granite countertops, and a custom barn door for the pantry.

The large master suite, measuring 16×21′, is located on the second floor and has vaulted ceilings, plus a beautiful barn door to the ensuite. Upgraded tile has been added to surround the soaker tub and has counter-to-ceiling backsplash behind the granite dual vanity. You’ll love relaxing in the master ensuite and getting ready for the day in the massive walk-in closet!

Outside of the master suite, three large bedrooms, a full bathroom, open loft space, and laundry room complete the second floor. The secondary bedrooms measure 11×12′, 11×14′, and 11×15′. There is space for everyone in this beautiful house!

Penny Lake is beautifully landscaped with concrete curbing in both the front and backyard. The backyard has added hardscape, custom flower beds, and a shed. Plus the home also features solar panels that will keep your energy costs low – saving you money on power costs!

This home is currently listed for $549,900.

The Solar Details of this Home

Everyone will have an electricity bill for their home on top of the mortgage payment, but with solar, YOU get the chance to control what that bill will be, NOT the local power company! Statistically, the price of electricity is going up all over the nation. For example, this home on Penny Lake Avenue in Star started with a level pay of $80 per month through Idaho Power Company. The electric bill was then raised to $112 per month, then $200 in the last three years. The only way to control rising electrical costs is by using solar – that’s why so many states have made solar mandatory!

The tier one solar panels on this home are a 6.4 kW system designed to produce an estimated 10,436 kWH per year. When solar was installed on this home, the estimated energy consumption of the home was 10,112 kWH per year. This means that the solar panels should produce enough energy to cover all the power needs of the home and MORE. Every unused kilowatt generated by the solar panels can be sold back to the power company when the loan is paid off. On average there are 210 days of sun in Star, Idaho, which provides more than enough solar energy to power this home and sell some back to Idaho Power Company – making you money! The solar panels also come with a 25 year warranty.

It is a no-brainer that buying a solar powered home is worth it!

A Bit About Star, Idaho

Star is a fast-growing, quiet community about 18-20 minutes from both Eagle and Meridian. You’ll find everything you need within the city of Star with multiple grocery stores, restaurants, salons, and shopping around the downtown area. Plus, this family focused community is home to several large events such as a massive Easter egg hunt, one of the largest 4th of July fireworks shows in the Treasure Valley, and a summer concert series. All these amenities are located within a 5 minute drive from this home.

A short bike ride from the home on Penny Lake will bring you to the community’s skatepark, baseball fields, and soccer fields. As well as a brand new dog park and splash pad (opening in July 2023).

The neighborhood itself is also very quiet and family focused. This home is located in Fallbrook subdivision where neighbors are friendly, and kids can be found riding bikes or playing at the neighborhood playground. Fallbrook subdivision also hosts food trucks in the summer months!
