Penny Lake is beautifully landscaped with concrete curbing in both the front and backyard. The backyard has added hardscape, custom flower beds, and a shed. Plus the home also features solar panels that will keep your energy costs low – saving you money on power costs!
This home is currently listed for $549,900.
The Solar Details of this Home
Everyone will have an electricity bill for their home on top of the mortgage payment, but with solar, YOU get the chance to control what that bill will be, NOT the local power company! Statistically, the price of electricity is going up all over the nation. For example, this home on Penny Lake Avenue in Star started with a level pay of $80 per month through Idaho Power Company. The electric bill was then raised to $112 per month, then $200 in the last three years. The only way to control rising electrical costs is by using solar – that’s why so many states have made solar mandatory!
The tier one solar panels on this home are a 6.4 kW system designed to produce an estimated 10,436 kWH per year. When solar was installed on this home, the estimated energy consumption of the home was 10,112 kWH per year. This means that the solar panels should produce enough energy to cover all the power needs of the home and MORE. Every unused kilowatt generated by the solar panels can be sold back to the power company when the loan is paid off. On average there are 210 days of sun in Star, Idaho, which provides more than enough solar energy to power this home and sell some back to Idaho Power Company – making you money! The solar panels also come with a 25 year warranty.
It is a no-brainer that buying a solar powered home is worth it!
